The Irvine City Council voted on Tuesday night to enact a living wage that will apply to all workers contracting with the city. When this law goes into affect, all workers will be paid at least $10.00 an hour plus benefits.

“This is about the people who keep our city clean and beautiful,” Councilman Larry Agran said. “This gives people who work here … the opportunity to live here and enjoy the benefits of Irvine .”  The Orange County Labor Movement and all those who work for a living are grateful for the leadership shown by Mayor Pro-Tem Larry Agran, Mayor Beth Krom and Councilmember Sukhee Kang.
